Waverley West

Janice Lukes has been elected through acclamation (no other councillor candidates on the election ballot).

 

This is a new ward located in southwest Winnipeg. The ward has a population of 44,006 residents, based on 2016 census data.

Prior to the 2018 election boundaries, all neighbourhoods within this ward were in other wards. The neighbourhoods of Bridgwater Lakes, Bridgwater Forest, Bridgwater Centre, Bridgwater Trails, Waverley West B, South Pointe West, South Pointe, Waverley Heights, Fairfield Park, Richmond West, Montcalm, and Agassiz were part of the St. Norbert Ward, represented by Councillor Janice Lukes, who was elected in 2014. The neighbourhood of Whyte Ridge was part of the Charleswood – Tuxedo – Whyte Ridge ward, represented by Councillor Marty Morantz, who was elected in 2014. The neighbourhoods of Linden Ridge and West Fort Garry Industrial were part of the River Heights – Fort Garry ward, represented by Councillor John Orlikow, who was elected in 2009, 2010, and in 2014.
