Why did you decide to run in the 2018 (Winnipeg Civic Election / School Board Election)?
I decided to run for re-election in order to continue to support school programming that is in keeping with our community values.
What experience will you bring to complement your role as (Mayor / Councillor / School Trustee)?
I have served on the SJSD Board for a number of years having been Chair of the Board for eight terms and as well as serving on all Board Standing committees. With my experience as a corporate lawyer (now retired) I bring a business perspective to the Board, in particular in its policy making role.
What are some issues that you would like to stand for in your role as (Mayor / Councillor / School Trustee), and why are these issues important to you?
If re-elected, I will continue to :
- work in collaboration with our provincial government for reasonable funding of all Manitoba schools;
- work to address increasing diversity in our community to ensure an inclusive education for all students;
- work to ensure our schools focus on student achievement in a safe environment.
What is something that you appreciate about the (City of Winnipeg / the ward / the school ward or school division) you wish to represent?
I am proud to be a graduate of the St. James-Assiniboia School Division and its commitment to support school programming that is in keeping with our community values.

I am committed to serving the needs of our students and ledge to do so with an open, positive & caring approach.
